Tea cup and saucer circa 1830

Found in a junk shop on the Isle of Skye this tea cup and saucer is one of my best loved treasures. I use it on a Saturday morning when I have a wee bit more time to brew a nice pot of earl grey (the rest of the week it's a mug). The wide shallow cup cools the tea quickly which is perfect for my non milky tea. The design is hand painted and it has no chips which is remarkable since it was made in about 1830. I like to imagine all of the ladies who have sipped their Saturday morning cuppa from it over its 180 year life.
