Blog Twin...

My friend, the hugely talented illustrator Bridget Farmer, and I have decided to do a blog collaboration. Every so often we will send each other an image which the recipient will react to with their own image. Then the results will be posted on both of our blogs . So here is the first one! I sent Bridget the top picture which is page 29 from my current sketchbook, a wee collage composition. Bridget's image below my own is a photo of a Harry Clarke stained glass window which she went to see last week. Harry Clarke was a leading figure in Irland's Arts and Crafts Movement. Bridget says ''it made me tingle all through my body. It was so beautiful!''.

from sketch book to finished piece...

The 'Knot Necklace' started in my sketchbooks as a way to interpret the spontaneity of a scribble in metal. silver cameo shapes are linked in a knot so that each time the necklace moves it creats a different 'scribble'.
