Me on the BBC!

I'm on the BBC website today wearing as much jewellery as it humanly possible to promote the D&G|Out exhibition at The Lighthouse

Glasgow Wedding Collective Fair Fun

Christmas and Hogmanay are long gone so now its time to get those wedding plans tied up. HERE ^^^^ is the perfect opportunity, The Glasgow Wedding Collective fairs are my absolute favourite to do because of all brilliant suppliers they bring together. The show is on February 9th at The Lighthouse in Glasgow with two spacious rooms full of weddingy inspiration and bridal brilliance. Here's a round up of the last fair to wet your apatite.

D&G|Out at The Lighthouse

I'm super excited to be part of this exhibition which opens on Thursday. D&G|Out is a showcase of Spring Fling participants held at The Lighthouse in Glasgow including lovely ceramics by Wendy Kershaw, glass by Amanda Simmons, textiles by Morag Macpherson and much much more. I will have some new work on display including my Collection Necklace with Art Deco glass beads, drusy quartz & garnets.

Alongside the show there are a series of talks by some of the exhibitors and I am running a jewellery workshop on the afternoon of 8th February (booking necessary). The exhibition runs until 22nd February.

Chloe & Bill's Wintery White Wedding

Happy New Year! 2013 was so fantastic, spending lots of time with my little boy Ru and managing to squeeze in a bit of jewellery making here and there ;). I launched more than 30 new designs online including earrings, necklaces and many many rings. Some of my favourite pieces to work on are the wedding rings. I love getting to know couples and helping them choose the right rings for them. I still find it such a privilege making these precious objects which will be worn forever symbolising so much. After getting to know the couples so well I love getting a wee email with photos of their wedding day.

Here is Chloe and Bill’s winter wedding from last month.

Chloe is based in London so ordered her Gold Sculpted Wedding Ring online to go with her vintage engagement ring.

We chatted by email to establish what would be the right ring for her and something that would match her diamond and sapphire engagement ring. Now I see the two rings together I think they make a gorgeous pair, like Chloe and Bill themselves.

Chloe and Bill’s wedding and reception took place in a beautifully converted coaching inn in Suffolk.

They styled their day with the season in mind with lots of frosty white, rowan berry red and splashes of golden yellow.

Chloe wore a handmade white lace dress and her sister and friend put together her bouquet and table flowers.

The whole day has such a wintery but warm feel to it.
